Acupuncture for Pregnancy Support

Whether you're newly pregnant, preparing for birth, or navigating the postpartum period, acupuncture offers gentle support during this important transition. Treatments may help address common pregnancy concerns such as nausea, fatigue, aches and pains, sleep disturbances, stress, and preparation for labor.

*New patients seeking care exclusively for pregnancy-related concerns may begin here without completing a separate virtual intake. Care is individualized to your stage of pregnancy, symptoms, and goals, with plenty of time for questions and support along the way.

Labor Prep

Before you start jumping off curbs to help encourage baby to come out, give acupuncture a try! In this session for women who are full term (37 weeks), we use points that are indicated for opening and softening the cervix, bringing babies head down, and stirring up contractions. At the end of your first session, we will also teach you some acupressure points that you can use at home to continue the treatment effects.

Turn Your Breech Baby

During this appointment, we will use acupuncture to help encourage your baby to get in to a head down position. The classical Chinese texts suggest starting treatment between 34 and 36 weeks. We will teach you how to burn moxa to stir up fetal movement while using gravity to create opportunity. This appointment is 75 minutes and includes a 45 minute long treatment with 15 minutes of instruction. You will also leave with moxa tools to use at home.
