When the Journey Is Personal

If you are struggling with infertility, this is your place. This is one of the most vulnerable of times, and it can be difficult for anyone to fully comprehend what you are going through unless they’ve been there themselves.

Heather has been there. She experienced her own complicated journey through both primary and secondary infertility related to PMOS/PCOS and endometriosis. She has tracked the cycles, waited for the phone calls, given herself the injections, ridden the hormonal roller coaster, and knows just how irksome it is when someone tells you to “just relax.”

She understands the sense of being completely alone in the struggle and the psychological toll that infertility and fertility treatment can take. She also understands that every fertility journey is different and that sometimes there simply aren't easy answers. She gets it.

This is why she is more than just a medical professional; she is also your cheerleader, your guide, and someone firmly in your corner when it comes to your fertility journey.

From the moment you enter her office, you will experience the compassion and knowledge she brings to her work. And when you leave her office, the hope is that you do so with a renewed sense of power and control over your life and your health.

More Than Where It Hurts

Heather also has a gift for working with and managing many types of pain, from endometriosis and pelvic pain to chronic low back pain, headaches, TMJ, and neck and shoulder pain.

She has had extensive orthopedic training and has taught anatomy, physiology, and pathology. In addition, her background as a massage therapist has provided her with a broad range of tools to create treatments that are both highly individualized and integrative.

Depending on the needs of the person in front of her, she may incorporate cupping, gua sha, dry needling, therapeutic bodywork, or other techniques to complement acupuncture and support the goals of treatment.

A Different Approach to Care

Heather has immersed herself in practice and studies far beyond the already intense requirements of the typical acupuncturist. Her entire universe revolves around healing.

She graduated with a Master’s in Acupuncture from the New England School of Acupuncture, the oldest acupuncture school in the US. Her studies included Traditional Chinese Medicine, Chinese Style Acupuncture, and Japanese Style Acupuncture.

Japanese Style Acupuncture, while incredibly gentle, is a nuanced, palpation-based approach that allows the practitioner to listen closely to the body and adapt treatment based on how it responds. It is a type of medicine that is complicated and nuanced, and one that Heather has continued to study throughout her career.

She has received training from some of the top experts in this field, including Cameron Bishop and Kiiko Matsumoto, who is known worldwide for her distinctive approach to Japanese acupuncture. She has also had extensive training with world-renowned masters of Reiki, including Hyakuten Inamoto, John Harvey Gray, and William Lee Rand.

The combination of training in acupuncture, bodywork, and energy work brings a unique depth to her sessions.

Care That Meets You Where You Are

No two people arrive at Heather’s office with exactly the same story, and no two treatments are exactly alike. Heather takes the time to listen to the whole story, including the pieces that may have been overlooked or that you aren't quite sure are connected.

Because healing doesn't always mean that everything becomes easy or that every problem has a simple solution. Sometimes it means having more support, more understanding, and more tools to navigate what comes next.

Wherever you are in that process, Heather will meet you there.
